NICO Nanobubble India Co. a leader in Nanobubble technology, conducted a comprehensive in-house study on onion Plants to assess the efficacy of Nanobubbles in improving Plant Growth and Plant Health.

Objectives

  • To assess and compare the growth of the Onion plant, i.e. growth of roots & leaves when subjected to different types of water: Oxygen NICO Nanobubble (NB) Water, Air NICO Nanobubble (NB) Water, and Tap Water, under varying water conditions i.e. stagnant water & water that was regularly changed.
  • To evaluate the effectiveness of Air NICO Nanobubbles and Oxygen NICO Nanobubbles in facilitating the growth of Onion plants.

Methodology

Roots of the Onion saplings were kept immersed in different types of water samples, Oxygen NICO NB, Air NICO NB, and Tap water. Each type of water was also evaluated on two conditions, when the water was replaced daily and when water remained unchanged. Throughout the study period, parameters such as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), and pH levels of the samples were monitored daily. Measurements of root and leaf lengths were conducted at five-day intervals to assess the root growth during the testing period.

Conclusion

The case study conducted by NICO Nanobubble India Co. suggests that the utilization of Nanobubble (NB) water holds significant promise for enhancing Onion plant growth both in root length and leaf length. Air NICO NB water exhibited the most favorable outcomes followed by Oxygen NICO NB compared to Tap water. It is also evident that stagnant water conditions yielded superior results in comparison to regularly changed water, likely due to reduced disturbance to the plant's root systems. Root Length increased 400% more in Air NB water and 350% more in Oxygen NB water compared to the ones in Tap water. These findings collectively indicate that the application of NB water positively influences onion plant growth, as evidenced by increased root and leaf development. Therefore, incorporating Nanobubble water technology into agricultural practices could offer a promising avenue for improving crop yields and sustainability in onion cultivation.
