Open drains in urban and industrial areas often carry untreated sewage and waste, leading to severe pollution, odor, and public health concerns.
Untreated or partially treated sewage flows directly into drains.
Anaerobic decomposition produces strong, persistent foul smells.
Settling of organic matter reduces carrying capacity and flow.
Highly polluted drains become visibly dark and contaminated.
Polluted drains attract insects and create unsafe surroundings.
THE NICO NX250 STRATEGY
The NX250 system introduces ultra-fine oxygen nanobubbles directly into open drains, rapidly improving dissolved oxygen
and restoring aerobic conditions.
Integrated ozone capability enables oxidation of odor-causing compounds, breakdown of organics, and visible improvement
in water clarity.
Reduces foul smells by eliminating anaerobic zones and oxidizing gases.
Breaks down sludge and organic buildup, enhancing drainage.
Transforms dark, polluted water into clearer, healthier flow.
Creates cleaner, safer surroundings in urban areas.
At Mungeshpur Drain, NICO’s patented NX250 nanobubble solution delivered in-situ drain rejuvenation, achieving COD reduction from 280 to <50 mg/L, BOD from 38 to <10 mg/L, and ammonia from 4.5 to 0.05 mg/L. The system also raised DO to ≥5.5 mg/L and supported effective sulphide and pathogen removal within a 30-minute HRT, with the treatment performance validated by HSPCB.
