FLOWER LIFE ENHANCEMENT

OVERVIEW

NICO Nanobubble India Co., pioneering new frontiers in the field of nanobubble technology, has carried out a comprehensive study to understand the ability of nanobubbles to enhance the shelf life of rose flowers in floral arrangements.

Objectives

To understand the ability of NICO Nanobubble-infused water to extend the vase life of rose flowers in floral arrangements compared to regular tap water, evaluated under two conditions: stock water samples and changing water every 24 hours.

Methodology

  • Ten rose flower samples were kept immersed in NICO Nanobubble water and tap water, each.
  • Half of the samples from each set were selected to replace the water sample regularly, and the other halves of each set were kept unchanged.
  • The samples were labeled as Changing NICO Nanobubble Water (CNB), Changing Tap Water (CT), where the water was replaced, and Stock NICO Nanobubble Water (SNB) and Stock Tap Water (ST), where the water was not changed.
  • Water for the changing set was replaced every 24 hours, and the other set was kept undisturbed, with samples observed for variations.

Observation

  • Comparing the flowers kept in the set, where water samples were replaced every 24 hours, it was observed that the flowers in CNB retained good shape and color in comparison to CT.
  • Comparing the flowers kept in the stock water condition, SNB retained good shape and color in comparison to ST.
  • Comparing all the sets, it was observed that flowers in CNB retained good shape and color.

Conclusion

The study by NICO Nanobubble India Co. reveals that nanobubble-infused water significantly extends the vase life of rose flowers. Flowers in Changing NICO Nanobubble (CNB) Water maintained the best shape and color compared to those in Changing Tap Water (CT). Similarly, Stock NICO Nanobubble Water (SNB) outperformed Stock Tap Water (ST). Overall, CNB showed the most favorable results, highlighting nanobubble technology's potential to enhance the longevity and appearance of cut flowers in floral arrangements.
